Justice too Expensive for Most.
Lord Chief Justice Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd has told the Mirror that the number of people representing themselves in court, ‘litigants in person’, has indeed risen since the legal aid budget was slashed in 2013, with consequent delays in proceedings.
This comes after similar warnings were aired in last April's BBC Panorama and on this site ('One Law for the Rich', August 2014), which followed an editorial in the Independent.
