Conviction Quashed After 17 Years In Jail

In December 2013, Victor Nealon had his conviction for attempted rape quashed at the Court of Appeal, having served 17 years for a crime he did not commit. The Judgment being handed down was one of the first to be recorded by television cameras.
The case was successfully appealed by Inside Justice Advisory Panel member, Peter Willcock QC, who described new DNA evidence as "dynamite".
